Nursery!

I started at nursery today! Mummy had to go to work so I went to play with some cool toys and made some new friends. I had a lovely time! Mummy took a photo of me this morning and she said she'll post it tomorrow!

Camp - Part 4 - Tuesday

I was very excited about today - it was the day we were going to the beach! We would spend all day there!

It took a while to get there and mummy kept grumbling that Auntie Jenny had lost her indicators but we got there in the end. It wasn't very sandy but I had good fun with the stones. I made a new friend called James who let me sit in his tent and share his picnic. I also had a paddle but the water was freezing!

Camp - Part 3 - Monday

Today we went for a drive in the minibuses. It was a nice drive and I saw lots of exciting things but it was a bit long!

Eventually we stopped and I got into the pushchair. We were going on a boat trip! Jo (who was officially looking after me for the week) took me onto the boat and we set off! We went on a nice ride round near Brighton and the girls kept me entertained by singing my favourite songs about boa constrictors and pirates!

When we got back to dry land, we went and ate our lunch on a beach and then went back to Worthing for swimming. I had only been swimming once before but I liked it so I was looking forward to it. I had a new costume with Finding Nemo on it. The pool was a bit chilly but it was fun to splash everybody! I had cuddles with Jo and Hanah and Lisa and Emma while mummy went on the big slide.

Camp - Part 2 - Sunday

At first I couldn't work out where I was. Well I knew I was in my travel cot anyway! I found my lamb and gave it a little cuddle then I decided to have a look around and see who else was there! I stood up and spotted mummy! I shouted a loud "BA!" to wake her up and she got me out of my cot for a cuddle. Soon everybody else in the room was awake!

After breakfast I got dressed into my GB top and my denim dress (apparently it used to be Jess's!) for Church Parade. I went for a walk with Tracey so I could have a little sleep. It was a nice walk but there were too many interesting things to look at so we had to do the walk again so I could go to sleep. I was a good girl in church for Tracey - mummy was playing her guitar!

After a yummy roast dinner we were off again! The girls were doing a treasure hunt but I went to the park with mummy and went on the swings!

In the evening we did some singing outside the church and I found some nice leaves to play with but then I got tired so I went to bed for a nice sleep.

Camp - Part 1 - Saturday

I woke up very early (about 4.50am!) as I was excited about going to camp! Mummy didn't look quite so excited but she took me downstairs to play. Then she got a bit stressed as she couldn't get my car seat to fit into her minibus. Eventually she fitted in the front seat! Wow - I was going to get a good view!

We set off about 8.30 to meet the other girls who were going to camp. Lisa and Emma were last (as usual, mummy says!) and then we were off! Daddy and nanny and grandad came to wave us off! Soon we stopped again - I thought we must be there! But it was so some more girls could get on the bus! Then we were off again. It was nice being able to see out of the front window but it also got a bit boring so I went to sleep for a bit. Jo was sitting in the front next to me which was fun!

We got a bit lost in Worthing but in the end we found all the others and had our lunch! Yum!

After lunch I played with some toys mummy found while everybody got their beds sorted. I was sleeping in a room with mummy, Auntie Jenny, Auntie Tracey, Sue and Janice. Jess was sleeping in a rooms with some other big girls. Then we went to say hello to the beach and we had an ice cream (I shared mummy's) and I played with some stones on the beach. When we got back to church we played some games so we got to know each other. I found it hard to remember everyone's names but I tried hard! I called everybody "Ba"!

Soon it was tea time - we had sausage, mash and beans! YUM! Then it was time for me to go to bed. It had been a busy day and everybody said there would be lots more to do the next day!

I'm back!

I had a great time at camp but I am very tired (so are mummy and Jess!) so I will tell you all about my adventures another time.

I'm going on a sort of holiday!

Tomorrow I am going away with Mummy and Jess to Worthing on Girls' Brigade camp. I am going to miss daddy lots but I will be very busy and there will be lots of fun people to play with.

Lighthouse

Today I found out what mummy meant about me going to a lighthouse. Lighthouse is a holiday club! I went with Jess and Mummy and Jess went off to play with her friends and mummy took me to play with some other children. I was really excited to see Isaac and Athene when I got there and mummy said Oliver would be there later on! Yippee!!!! There were some nice big people to play with too. While I was playing, mummy went to play her guitar and made lots of noise!

When mummy came to pick me up I didn't want to stop playing! Mummy said if I'm good I can go again tomorrow - hurrah!

Another busy weekend!

This weekend I went to my big cousin Tom's birthday party - he was 18 which seems pretty old! Daddy was poorly so I went with mummy and Jess. We spent a long time in the car on Saturday and when we stopped for lunch I had a surprise as we bumped into nanny and grandad!

It was a good party but I was a bit tired so I went to sleep for most of it. I liked the breakfast in the hotel this morning and then we had lunch with nanny and grandad, Auntie Angela, Uncle David, Tom, Charlotte and Alexander, Uncle Tom, Auntie Sally, Rory and Niall! I ate a whole pear which was nice except it got a bit sticky and I had pear in my hair! That made Jess laugh.

It was a nice weekend but I was glad to get home and see my daddy again. He is a bit better now. Hurray!

Tomorrow mummy says I am going to a lighthouse to play with some friends. We live MILES away from the seaside though!

Phew !...what a weekend !

My Christening!

When I got up yesterday morning I knew something funny was going on. Firstly, I had a bath in the morning and normally I have one at night. Mummy said I had to be extra clean and smart. Secondly, I didn't get dressed straightaway. Mummy said she didn't want me to get dirty! As if! Thirdly, daddy was wearing his suit but he wasn't going to work. Fourthly, Jess brushed my hair about 10 times.

Mummy and daddy had got me a new dress which was white and very pretty. I also had some knickers to cover up my nappy! There was also a hat but I wasn't so keen on that. Apart from anything it messed up my hair and Jess had just brushed it (again!). Then we got into the car and daddy drove us to church. Jess ran off to go and ring the bells and then I spotted Auntie Helen and Uncle Jim and my Uncle David, Auntie Angela with Thomas and Charlotte. That was a bit weird as they don't normally come to our church. I wondered what was going on.

Anyway we got into church and saw lots more people and then Olivia came over and said hello to me. We sat at the front which was another unusual thing as we normally sit at the back! My Auntie Nicky (who isn't really my auntie but I like to pretend she is!) arrived and then Uncle Andy and Auntie Claire with Mollie and Baby Grace. They sat at the front with daddy, mummy and I. When Jess had finished ringing her bells she sat with us too.

The service started and Olivia said something about me which was quite nice. I sat with daddy for a while then his arms started aching so I sat with mummy too.

After a while Olivia asked us to stand up round a bowl. It was quite pretty and I liked looking at it. Olivia asked mummy and daddy what my name was. That was strange because she knows me very well! They said it was Amelia Grace - normally that's what I'm called when I'm being a pickle! Olivia said some words and then she asked Jess to help her pour some water from a really big jug into the bowl. Jess was good at helping! Then I went and had a cuddle with Olivia and she poured some water over my head! That was good fun but I was a bit worried that Jess would be cross about my hair getting messed up! I tried to wriggle and get INTO the bowl as I thought that would be good to splash in but Olivia held me tightly! Then Olivia made a cross on my head and Mummy and daddy and Jess and Auntie Nicky and Auntie Claire and Uncle Andy all dipped their fingers into the water and made a cross on my head too. It all felt very special.

Next, Auntie Nicky lit a candle for me and then everybody in the church gave me a big clap! Daddy took me for a walk round the church and lots of people wanted to see me! A little bit later I had some milk and fell asleep for a little while. After the end of the service I woke up and some people took some photos of me and my family and I had lots of cuddles with people.

Then we got back into the car and went to a golf course where we had a little party! I had lots more cuddles and somebody had made a special cake with my name on. I had a little piece of it and it was very nice!

When we got home I went for a long sleep as I was very tired. Mummy and daddy were right - it was a very busy day!

A busy weekend!

This weekend was a bit busy! On Saturday mummy and Jess were very busy doing cleaning and daddy cleaned his car and did some gardening! I was busy playing with my toys and making a mess!

In the afternoon I went for a nap as usual and when I woke up there were lots of people in our house! Auntie Claire and Uncle Andy and Mollie and Baby Grace had come to visit! Mollie is a bit like Jess except she runs around more and is very noisy. Baby Grace is much more like me and we had fun crawling around together and sharing my toys. Grace even sat on my lap. I tried to push her off but she got off anyway. I think she might have cried if I'd sat on her lap!

A bit later on Auntie Helen and Uncle Jim came round which was good. I was really kind and let Grace use my highchair to have her tea and in return she let me finish off her yogurt as she was a bit full up. Soon I was very tired and needed to go to bed. Mummy and daddy said I had another busy day to come. I hoped that meant more playing with Mollie and Grace but I wasn't sure what was going on!

I can move!

Well actually I've been able to move for a while but today I crawled for the first time. I was trying to get to Jess's slipper!

The other day I surprised Mummy and Daddy by pulling myself up on the coffee table!

I'm becoming a right little monkey!

Did you miss me?

I'm sorry - I've been very busy lately so I haven't written in here for ages!

I am now nearly 7 months old and I can sit up really well! I now have 2 little teeth on my bottom gum and they are very useful for biting toast! I eat most things now - I love pasta and mummy's lentil and vegetable bake.

It was half term last week which meant Jess was home all week - yippee! We had lots of fun including my first swimming trip (I did BIG splashes!) and a trip to Bekonscot.

I am very clever!

Today I have learnt how to clap! Mummy says I am clever!

My first tooth is nearly through. I hope it will hurry up as my gums are a bit sore!

half a year old!

Hello! I've been a bit busy lately! Anyway today I am 6 months old and that means I'm half way to being 1!!!! How very exciting!

On Sunday I had my very first roast dinner which was very yummy. I'm already looking forward to another one this weekend!

My daddy's gone away again :( Only for 2 days though. I miss him lots when he goes away. i have fun with Mummy and jess but it's not the same...

Yum!

Mummy gave me some avocado today. Some of it was mashed up in a bowl but she also gave me some to hold and eat myself. I think I got the hang of it in the end!

One of my mum's friends has just started her own web forum at http://born2dribble.informe.com/. Mummy says it is very good and it is nice because there are lots of other mummies on there and they can share ideas and help each other and things. Some of the babies are very cute!

Somebody needs to start a forum for babies. I was watching Jess play Sims yesterday and the computer looks really easy to use!

Big grown up girl :-)

This week I have been drinking out of a big girl cup. I decided I didn't like my cup with a spout so mummy tried me with one of Jess's plastic cups. It's lovely! Mummy has to help me but I like it much more than my other cup. Sometimes I spill it over me but it's actually quite nice and cooling!

It's been very hot this week so mummy's been putting some nice cream on me. It smells very nice and it feels very relaxing when she rubs it in! I've also been wearing my hat though sometimes it's nice to take it off and eat it!

Hee hee!

Yesterday I was just finishing my 6 o'clock bottle when I decided to do a bit of a poo. Whilst mummy was winding me she felt a sticky sensation - yes my nappy had leaked all over her arm and her jeans! She didn't seem very pleased!

So we trooped off for a bath. Mummy stripped me off and cleaned me up and left me starkers on the changing mat whilst she ran my bath. Jess came into the bathroom and decided to pick me up.

"Careful" mummy said - "looks like she's done a wee" as the mat was a bit wet.

Well it seemed a shame to stop. Jess got a good soaking too!

Mummy said I scored a hat-trick when I puked over daddy a bit later...

...but I wasn't wearing a hat...

More visiting...

I did sing a bit at night but Jess was talking in her sleep and daddy was snoring too!

It was lovely to meet my cousins again and to meet some new ones. On Friday I saw mummy's brother's children who are quite big. They have a funny dog who has a cool name - Millie!Then on Saturday we went to see Mollie and Grace. I tried hard to eat Grace's toes! She is older than me but she's quite little. Mind you I eat like a horse so it's not surprising I'm a big girl!

Hello! Me again!

I went to Southend with mummy and Jess this week. We went to see my Auntie and Uncle and 2 of my cousins, Rory and Niall. They are quite noisy but good fun. Rory gave me some of my dinner and I smiled at him. I cried at Uncle Tom but it was because I was a bit hungry. Niall had some really cool toys that he showed me!

Tomorrow we are going for a long drive to see some more aunties and uncles and cousins. I'm especially looking forward to seeing Mollie and Grace. Grace is only 11 days older than me so we have lots in common. I can't wait to find out what she's been up to as last time I saw her we were only a few weeks old! Mollie is funny - she runs around a lot and says funny things.

We are going to sleep in a hotel which is exciting as it's another new thing for me. I will be sleeping in the same room as mummy and daddy and Jess so I will have to be very quiet and not sing in the middle of the night. It's a shame as I like my nocturnal singsong but I don't want to make everybody cross!

Another birthday!

Today it's my daddy's birthday! I sang to him this morning (with some help from mummy and Jess) and gave him a Button Moon DVD for us to watch together. Mummy said she's got a surprise for him later but she won't tell me what it is. Meanie!

Jess finishes school for the holidays today so she'll be home for 2 weeks - yippee! daddy doesn't get Easter holidays which is sad but he is going to be home for a few days next weekend. We're going to visit some of my aunties and uncles and I might meet some cousins I haven't met before. Next week we're also going to stay at my Auntie's in Southend and I'll see some more cousins. i like my cousins :)

Food

I have been trying some new foods. I had carrot last week and it was quite nice but my favourites are apple and banana. I also like drinking water. Mummy says it's what lions drink. I don't know what a lion is but it sounds like a good thing.

Seaside!

I went to Swanage at the weekend. I went with my mummy and my sister and some girls and grown ups from Girls' Brigade. It was good fun and I did some exciting things - I made a sandcastle and i visited a farm where I saw lambs, goats, chickens, rabbits and had a ride on a tractor. I slept in my travel cot which was very comfy and had lots of cuddles! Mummy says that if I'm good I can go again soon so I am trying very hard to behave.

Meeting people

Today some nice people called Emily and Josh came to see me! Emily is very smiley and has a big tummy. Apparently there is a baby inside which seemed funny to me. I keep milk and potato and carrot in mine! Josh was fun to watch as he ran around a lot. He was a bit shy at first but then he discovered I had some cool toys. He tried to take my chick home but mummy was a bit clever and rescued it! I hope we see them again soon - they were fun!

After they went home mummy and I went to pick Jess up from school. Jess played with me for a bit but then she had to do homework so mummy put my new Pingu DVD on. I enjoyed the first few episodes but then I told mummy I was tired so she put me to bed. I screamed the house down for a while because I was missing her but then I decided I would go to sleep!

I am a busy baby!

birthdays!

It's my grandad's birthday today! I am 19 weeks old today but Grandad's a bit older. I'm wearing my "My Grandad is the Best" t-shirt and will be going to visit him later. I hope he likes his present.

I've spent most of this morning rolling over and playing with my gym. I learnt to roll last week and I can get from my back to my tummy but I can't get back onto my back so I get a bit cross after a while. I've also been busy taking my socks off and eating my Babar toy.

I started eating solids on Saturday. I've only had potato so far but mummy said she might do me some carrot today. Yum! Can't wait!

Hello!

Hello. My name is Millie and I am nearly 19 weeks old. My friend Rosalind had a blog even before she was born so I nagged mummy to set one up for me. Mummy will need to help me type for the time being but I hope I'll be able to help her soon. I'm telling her what to write anyway.

It's nearly time to go and pick my big sister up from school so I'd better say goodbye for now but I'll be back soon to tell you a bit more about myself.
